Not going back to work after baby is born
Ok, so everyone in the office (boss included) is convinced that you'll be back after baby pops out. You told them so!
But deep inside you are still not sure that will be the case.
So...are you truly having trouble deciding or are you just hoping to abuse the system and take full advantage of your maternity leave/short term disability benefits?
The reality is that going back to work after baby arrives can be a difficult decision for many working pregnant women. Many factors play a role in the decision making process, and in most cases, finances can be the main factor. Many times women will decide not to go back, even after telling their boss to expect them back. In cases like these, how, when, and do you inform your boss about your change of heart?

If your baby was a preemie, or has health problems, or you were on bedrest and it all mucked with your leave time and nothing is what you expected it to be like six to 12 weeks later, then you may not have a choice. If you do decide to stay home AFTER your baby is born: quit in person, with your HR person and your boss present. Offer to do WHATEVER YOU CAN to help with the transition -- working from home, coming in for interviews and meetings, organizing your files and to-do lists and job description. Anything to offset the perception of being all, "Thanks for the money, suckers!" before flouncing out the door.

But I also didn't know if I'd like being home with a newborn day in and day out, whether I'd be breastfeeding or bottlefeeding or suffering from PPD or so madly in love with motherhood that I was willing to do whatever it took to soak up every second of it. I just wasn't ready to make the decision before the baby was born or even during my leave -- so I went back. Because I'd promised, and because I wasn't sure. A few months in and suddenly I was sure. Reduce your Risk of Breast Cancer by Breastfeeding your babies
As if we needed yet another good reason to nurse our babies, a new study shows that breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer by 59% in women with a family history of the disease.
Alison Stuebe, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and lead author of the study, says "This is good news for women with a family history of breast cancer." The study was published in the Aug. 10 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine.

OK! for all those hoping to have a baby girl, there are actually 3 things you can do to make sure your baby will be a girlWow...that's a statement!!

George Christodoulou, author of the article, states that [people] can use science to naturally [influence] the gender of the baby. Here it goes:
1. Different Types of Sperm
This is where the science kicks in. The fact is there are two types of sperm; X sperm (girl) and Y sperm (boy). The Y sperm is weak and small, but fast. X sperm is slow, bigger, and lives longer. If you want to conceive a girl, have intercourse a day or two before you ovulate to give the X sperm time to travel. Nature has cleverly created this system to make sure there are equal numbers of men and woman being born at all times.
2. Add Acidity to Your Diet
Keeping with the above fact, by adding acidity to your diet you will be killing more of the male sperm because it is weaker and unable to take the harsher acidic environment. Eating more lemon, grapefruit, oranges, and other citrus foods will help. Keep in mind that doing this to the extreme can be dangerous.
3. Intercourse Positioning

Tips for Successful Baby Wearing
For many new moms and dads baby-wearing turns out to be a disappointing experience. After trying a few times they feel uncomfortable, baby feels uncomfortable, and the idea of baby wearing starts to be less appealing. There are many types of carriers available. The most common and most widely available is the baby Bjorn front carrier type. This type of carrier can be a great choice but it does have its limitations. The baby Bjorn type is for infants up to 15 pounds or so. This may give the impression to some parents that a carrier is only for small babies, when in fact there are many other carrier types that can be used for newborns to toddlers.
You should also buy a carrier depending on what you plan to use it for. If you are looking for a baby carrier to do activities like walking or hiking, then a carrier like the Ergo or the Kokopax are great choices. But if you plan to snuggle or soothe your baby, then a pouch style sling like Hotslings is better. Also wrap carriers like the Moby Wrap or the Sleepy Wrap are very versatile and allow for a variety of carrying positions.
4. Try it out when baby is at his or her best
If baby is cranky or tired your chances for success are diminished. If you are trying out a new carrier, do it just after your baby has been fed and is in a good mood; this will make the experience smoother for both of you.
5. Wear baby high
This is a great tip found on one of the mothering magazine issues: Wear your baby high with both the sling and vertical front packs like the Baby Bjorn. This prevents back discomfort and allows you to carry a much heavier burden.
6. Babies go through Developmental Phases
Baby may like to be in a sling or carrier at one point and then a few days or weeks later baby starts disliking it. Don't be discouraged! give baby a break and then try the carrier again after baby has gone through his or her developmental "jump"

Delicious Organic Snacks for picky little eaters
I don't know any one year olds or two year olds who are not picky eaters. Maybe they exist in a far far away land. Who knows?
Here are two delicious and healthy treats that are never rejected by our kids: Organic Grapes and Organic Yogurt.
Grapes are a
n excellent snack and kids love their shape and love to pick them with their fingers to put in their mouths. Even though expensive, you should always try to buy organic grapes. If you find organic grapes on sale. Buy them!! Here's why: Grapes have been found to contain high amounts of pesticides. They are on the Dirty Dozen Foods list
